Video: How much does laser treatment for diabetic retinopathy cost?

In this video I discuss why the costs for diabetic retinopathy treatment vary and what the two possible treatments are.

So the treatments for diabetic retinopathy can vary, so the cost for treatments can vary. If we talk about two types of treatment: The first treatment is laser treatment and that’s useful when blood vessels are growing in the retina. You would only need two to three visits for that particular type of treatment and we will discuss that in further detail when you come and see me.

The diabetic maculopathy condition involves swelling in the back of the eye, that may need laser or may need injections at the back of the eye. And we can talk more about the injections and how many you will need depending on the severity of your diabetes.

If you want to discuss that in further detail I’ll tailor-make that decision to you and you can discuss it in further detail by ringing the number in the end of the video.
